Medearis Net Consultants (MNC) specializes in creating web sites for businesses or organizations. Creating a web presence involves three basic types of costs: domain name registration, hosting charges, and development/marketing. Although creating a web presence will involve other professionals, Medearis Net Consultants coordinates ALL these efforts so that you don’t have to.
DOMAIN NAME
Domain Name (www.yourcompany.com):
$20 setup charge, including first year of registrar
A domain name is used in both your permanent web site address and in establishing permanent email addresses (e.g. sales@yourcompany.com).
HOSTING CHARGES
This monthly fee varies depending on where your web site is hosted and the complexity of the site. Depending on your needs and budget, MNC will recommend companies that could host your web site. MNC does not offer web hosting services, although MNC has worked with many local and national Internet Service Providers to find the right match for our clients. I.E. Some clients need only the bare bones hosting service and pay approximately $10/month. While other clients have needs that involve electronic commerce storefronts; online catalogs with frequent updates; monthly promotion that gets their site noticed*; monthly statistics reports showing them who/when/how visitors came to their site*; and other customer services. Monthly hosting charges that include these services can cost fifty to several hundred dollars per month.
* Medearis Net Consultants views these monthly services as critical services to enable any web presence to be a success.
DEVELOPMENT & MARKETING
Initial development costs are the third type of cost involved in creating your web site. MNC typically meets with the client to understand their requirements and offers a bid. This cost may vary greatly: from a 1-page web site of $250 to an average site of 6-10 web pages of $1500-5000, to the complex E-commerce site with catalog and secure electronic commerce transactions of $10,000 and more.
Included in this initial development cost, Medearis Net Consultants provides initial registration to major search engines and some marketing strategy for the web site.
Ongoing promotion is strongly encouraged to continue to drive traffic to your site.
After initial development is completed, we have an hourly charge of $40/hour.
INTERNET TRAINING
Medearis Net Consultants also offers individualized, on-site training for webmaster skills and web promotion skills. Julie Medearis of MNC has many references, including the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce, Longmont Senior Center, and Native American Fish and Wildlife Society.
The MNC rate of $40/hour applies to this service.
